The church of Saint-Aubin was built in the 11th century on the initiative of the Count of Anjou, Foulques de Nerra. Originally Romanesque, this church dedicated to Saint-Aubin was rebuilt in Gothic style from the 12th century onwards. This fortified building features a vault with loopholes and firing slits, and has a remarkable medieval roof structure, with carved 15th-century oak choir stalls protected as Historic Monuments. This church is part of the network of “Eglises Accueillantes en Anjou” (Welcoming Churches in Anjou) open to the public. Guided tours of the church can be arranged on request with a local association, Le Sablier.
